On December 7-8th, the capital city of Qatar was the central nerve of international relations and global politics
World leaders, policymakers, thought leaders, and civil society stakeholders flocked to the Doha Forum to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. Under the banner ‘Diplomacy, Dialogue, Diversity’, Doha Forum is a catalyst for cross-pollination of ideas and practical recommendations on issues related to peace, security, conflict resolution, global development, and the overall architecture of the World Order.
As the world is grappling with multiple crises
From Ukraine to Haiti, the Doha Forum offered a unique opportunity for leaders from all walks of life to share their perspectives on these critical issues.
POLITICOM Inc. advocated for sweeping reforms and a new paradigm to foster global peace, security, and sustainable development
The CEO of POLITICOM Inc., John Miller Beauvoir, an international development expert who works across 20 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Americas, participated in the Doha Forum.
In his remarks, he urged for sweeping reforms and the establishment of new frameworks to deal with the emerging challenges of today’s world:
“There is an urgent need to reform multilateral organizations, such as the United Nations. The world cannot sit idly by when women and children are being slaughtered in Haiti, in Sudan, and in Burkina Faso. This is a stain on our collective conscience as humanity is failing one of its greatest moral tests.”
The rising status of Qatar as a key player in international affairs
Overall, the Doha Forum is a connective tissue for constructive engagement between the Western Powers and the Global South. It is also a testament to Qatar’s convening power and effective use of the levers of diplomacy and economic tools to exert influence on world affairs.
